Dr. Megan Herbers
"My fur-children have been going to Dr. Alexander for the past several years, and we've been very happy with the care provided. He and his staff (Sue in particular) are very knowledgeable and truly caring. While recently having to visit Two Notch Road Animal Clinic after hours for an emergency visit, I was informed that Dr. Alexander has mentored many veterinarians and vet-techs over the years, and they fondly refer to him as "Dr. A."
A few examples of the care they provide:
1.) They provided very empathetic and sympathetic care to my basset hound and 3 of my kitties in their later years, whom we had to send to the "Rainbow Bridge" after spending 16, 15, 16, & 19 years here. They helped to make sure my "puppy" and kitties had an amazing quality of life until the very end. They were very understanding and knowledgeable in assisting in the decision of when that end needed to be. They even sent sympathy cards with a personal and signed message by those involved with the final care, each time.
2.) My other 3 kitties are continuing to benefit from Dr. A's care, as is my 13 year old beagle. My beagle has been doing very well for the last couple of years with the holistic care of supplements Dr. A has prescribed for his ACL/joint problems. Dr. A explained that surgery was not always necessary (and not always successful) for this ailment, and we could try the supplements first. My "puppy" is doing great and loves his mile long walks almost every morning and night (when his "human" is up for it).
To sum up (and as noted here by others): Spring Valley Animal Hospital is a very caring and empathetic place that informs their clients of all available options without forcing them (by guilt) to chose the most radical (i.e. expensive) procedure." - Kris B.
